Donna went from a happy life to being diagnosed with a form of cancer which required surgery that quite literally involved moving parts of her body around like a jigsaw puzzle, in order to reconfigure her face. It is the most extraordinary story and the fact that Donna laughs her way through telling it is more extraordinary still.
