Adult Type 1 Diabetes is More Common Than You Think

60% of Type 1 diabetes diagnoses are 20 years and older. This form of diabetes is known as LADA - Latent Autoimmune Diabetes for Adults. Today's guest and I both have LADA and were diagnosed in our 30s. Today I'm joined by Dr. Christon Darden who is sharing her diagnosis story for the first time and tells us how she handles T1D as an Orthopedic Surgery Resident.
