Chapter 17: Successes and Failures of Antony and Octavian

2020-10-07
Antony and Octavian had control of the Republic between them; Antony ruled the Eastern Republic, and Octavian the West.  However, each had their own challenges in their territory: Antony was going to invade Parthia, and Octavian had to eliminate the rogue Sextus Pompey; would they succeed, or would they fail? Our essential question to keep in mind throughout the episode is: Who is the most powerful politician in the Republic?
