029 Sister Rita Jane Radecki: The Sisters of St Francis

On August 1, 2017, host Dcn. Mike Beauvais interviewed Sr. Rita Jane Radecki, a Sister of St. Francis stationed as a chaplain at CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Sr. Radecki gave listeners insight into what drew her to consecrated religious life beginning in 1960. She spoke eloquently and beautifully about the freedom to love God and others gained by living in community according to her vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. She hoped that religious sisters provide an example for the laity of radical love for God that will help strengthen couples' commitment to marriage.
