Market Close 22 August 19: ASX 200 lifts as profit results dominate

The Australian sharemarket has enjoyed a better session on Thursday with the ASX 200 lifting 18.5 points or 0.29% to 6501.8. In what was one of the busiest days for corporate earnings, gains for Qantas (QAN), Coles Group (COL) and Flight Centre (FLT) helped with improvements while Webjet (WEB) fell sharply despite lifting profits.
