Morning Report 5 Sept 19 : Stocks advance on Hong Kong optimism

US sharemarkets rose on Wednesday, responding positively to news in Hong Kong, Italy and the UK. Economic news was mixed. Investors monitored comments from a variety of key Federal Reserve officials. The Dow Jones rose by 237 points or 0.9%. The S&P500 index rose by 1.1% and the Nasdaq rose by 103 points or 1.3%.
