We are still in the book of Ruth and Ruth 2:1-23 God begins moving Naomi's life emptiness to fullness. Chapter 1 ends with Naomi swallowed in grief yet this is when God's providence begins to shine. Through Chapter 2 we learn that living by faith means hanging on to God's hesed and trusting him, even when we are looking at him from ground zero.
