Jeff Dudan, the founder of Advantaclean, a national restoration franchise with over 240 locations, joins us on this episode of the Making Bank podcast! Today, Jeff discusses how he began his entrepreneurial journey, how he’s integrated his family and business life, and the qualities you need in order to be successful.  

 

While attending Appalachian State University for a football scholarship, Jeff began a painting business. Jeff organized athletes who were attending summer classes to paint houses. Through this experience, he learned important business lessons, and discovered he now had the entrepreneurial bug. It wasn’t until Jeff moved down to Florida after Hurricane Andrew to help with rebuilding, did he start on a path that eventually would lead him to what would become Advantaclean, a national franchise in 37 states.  

As Jeff’s career continued to grow, so did his family—and today he talks about the significance of balancing the two. Though it can be difficult at times, Jeff has successfully managed to coach his kids’ sports teams, as well as run a company and franchise. He shares with us the necessary values he’s learned to be a present family member, and the qualities he’s acquired to be an effective business leader, which you can also read about in his new book, “Discernment.”
