Wake Up TriCounties Lora Stoner Childhood Cancer Awareness

Everly Stoner is a bright eyed and lovable 4 year old who has spent much of her young life battling leukemia. Today, Everly is in remission but childhood cancers are notably unpredictable. All Everly's parents can do is hope for the best and raise as much awareness of childhood cancer as possible. As Everly's mom, Lora Stoner told Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday, August 31st, awareness leads to funds and funds raised will lead the way to treatments and cures. On Saturday, September 4th you can help with awareness and funds by taking part in the Stoner family lemonade stand, Saturday at 616 Park Avenue in Kewanee. Because of the efforts of Lora Stoner, on behalf of Everly, and all other kids with Cancer, September in Kewanee is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Mayor Gary Moore made the proclamation this past Monday at Kewanee City Hall, a gesture of kindness and creating even more awareness.
