Melissa Heiland and her husband went to Costa Rico in 1988 to be full-time missionaries. after a year they felt they were being called back to the US to start "Beautiful Feet International", and have been organizing and facilitating short0term mission trips across the globe. The organization also has set up 58 women's pro-life health centers across the world in 19 nations, from Central and South America to central and South Africa to India. Her book, "Get Set for Short-Term Missions" is in a new edition from Hendrickson Publishing.
