EPISODE 163: FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

The fall of 1988 in Odessa, Texas was a time of optimism, hope, & football on Friday nights.  The Permian Panthers enter the season under Coach Gaines with high expectations of winning the State Championship.  Can they be perfect & live up to the expectations brought onto them by the legacy of Permian High, the media, & even their own parents?  We take a look back at the modern sports classic, Friday Night Lights, directed by Peter Berg & starring Billy Bob Thornton as Coach Gaines who will lead these men onto the gridiron each & every Friday night under the lights. 

We also recap the first week of the NFL since we are talking a football film, look at the cast of The Suicide Squad, the Russo Brothers would come back for Fantastic Four, & also talk our 5 favorite sports movies in this week's post film discussion!  We then preview next week's film, The Hateful Eight, & much more on this week's show.
