SERMON NOTES
I. Our willing obedience becomes proof of the goodness of God.
II. Our willful rebellion is a testimony against the light of God.
III. When under the microscope, Christians should reflect the light.
FOR DISCUSSION AND REFLECTION
- If you could ask God to give you one sign proving that He's real, what would you ask for and why?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being very important and 1 being unimportant, where does "the behavior of Christians" rank when it comes to forming people's opinions about faith? Why?
- Can we rebel against God without knowing it? How would that be possible?
- What are the "microscopes" that people of faith are under today? How can Christ followers reflect the light of Jesus in those situations?
- What is one way you can point to God instead of yourself over the course of this coming week?
- What is God saying to you through today's scripture?
