Mary wondered where they put Jesus. Peter and John raced to the tomb. Where was Jesus' body? Who took him? Where did they put him? They were confused and searching. Easter is about finding what we need most. It's Jesus. He appeared to Mary and called her by name. He came to the women. Jesus appears to us in his Word and gives us what we need most: confidence that our sins have been taken away by his sacrifice at the cross, assurance that his promises are faithful, and the certain hope that we too shall rise from the dead. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Our sermon this weekend is from Exodus 15. The LORD is our salvation.
