N37: A Discussion on Rheumatoid Arthritis and Homeopathy

What is the difference between Rheumatoid Arthritis and Arthritis? Homeopathically we do not look at the symptomatic picture of the allopathic disease to determine the disease.  It is the individual disease picture expressed by the patient during case taking that determines the remedy of choice.  No matter the disease, a homeopathic constitutional remedy is always needed.  Using Roger Morrison M.D.’s book, Desktop Companion to Physical Pathology, we can look at the nature of rheumatoid Arthritis as exhibited by the patient during a case taking – using modalities to find the rare and peculiar, you can go one step further and go deeper to find the words of the source.  Homeopathically is usually not the first choice of a patient suffering the pains and symptoms of this disease, and as a result, the patient and practitioner need to have a discussion on the need to follow up with homeopathy as well as with their allopathic doctors.  Tapering off a remedy is the responsibility of the patient and their medical doctor and does not fall under the scope of practice of homeopathy in Ontario as homeopaths are not considered primary care givers. The body can heal itself of anything it creates when the mistunement is altered in the direction of health.
