An ambassador is one appointed by the ruler of their homeland to be a representative to a foreign country. They are sent to live in that foreign country as an emissary to serve the interests of their country and the king or president they represent.

You and I have been called and appointed to be Christ’s Ambassadors to this world. We are citizens of heaven (Phil 3:20). We belong to Christ’s kingdom (Col 1:13). As ambassadors of Christ, we have been called and appointed by God to represent Christ and His kingdom in a foreign and alien world. But what exactly does it mean to be Christ’s ambassadors? We want to translate that into practical terms of how it impacts the way we live on a day to day basis.
