Day 130

 

Father, 

We praise You for being a God who is so easy to marvel at! You love to be remembered and when we take time to truly think about You and remember You, our hearts are filled with gratitude and thanksgiving! 

But instead, we’ve often spiraled into fear and anger. We’ve known the truth and rejected it. We’ve deemed You unloving because of Your wrath toward sin⁠. Our hearts are bent, God, and we need Your rescue. We repent of those sins and turn to You, God. Would You make our hearts clean?

Would You give us eyes to see that we are Your beloved, despite our affliction? Remind us that our temporary trials don’t mean You’ve turned away from us or forgotten us. You are above our circumstances and Your love surpasses all frustration and tragedy. In the pain and chaos or our own uncertainty, help us to slow down enough to acknowledge Your goodness, Your active love, and Your absolute certainty in all things.

We surrender our lives to You, Lord—every moment of our day, each decision we make, we yield our will and way to Your perfect will and way. 

We love You too. Amen.
