There are very few things in this world that we can actually control. Most things require us to adjust to the circumstance or reprioritize our decisions. One of the things that no one can control is getting older. If the good Lord allows you to keep breathing, then you will inevitably age. Along with aging there will be changes that are bodies will go through, and some of the changes can make us feel different than ourselves.

Through popular request, this week I dove into a topic that effects millions of women around the world every day, and that’s menopause. Understanding why a woman is going through mood changes or having hot flashes or having night sweats can be the first step in finding treatment and providing hope. As hormone levels change and a woman’s body transitions to no longer having a menstrual cycle, many woman may feel like they are losing their minds.

My guest this week shares how her own physical changes inspired her to follow a path in medicine to help women not just cope with their bodies changes, but find a healthy lifestyle that enables them to enjoy life and be the best version of themselves.
