IRMI Chief Content Officer Joel Appelbaum and Karen Ross, secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, discuss how dairy farmers are leading the way in developing innovative sustainability practices. In addition to her state appointment, Ms. Ross is a farm owner who grew up as a "4-H kid." According to the US Department of Agriculture, California has remained the top agricultural exports earnings state since 2000.
