“The Lee Sharpe fan club”: Love Island, I Think You Should Leave, Host (2020), Old (2021)

In TV, Elaine ruminates on her devotion to Love Island (5:35). The ITV dating show came into our lives 2 years ago when we were in temporary hospital accommodation during our babies’ neonatal care. We were OBSESSED. Mark’s not joined Elaine in watching Love Island this year – so marvel at his attempts to get a word in edgeway as we discuss (for 20 minutes!) the show everyone’s talking about. Away from telly, we started watching 2020 British supernatural horror movie Host (33:50) together. But, one of us was so scared they couldn’t continue. Bet you can’t guess who?! Mark also went to see M. Night Shyamalan’s new twisty thriller Old (43:05). He shares his thoughts on the Shyamalan back catalogue and where he thinks the this latest film went wrong.  Both reviews are spoiler free, although you might want to avoid if you haven't seen either of these film as it's best not to know anything before you view.
