Why we can‘t overcome COVID19 for a long time

On 01.10.2021, a good friend of mine died from COVID19. He was a very good man, a healthy 36-year-old man. He has two children left (9 years and 3 years). My thoughts on when, and whether we will ever be able to defeat this disease
