US Close 3 Oct 16: Aussie markets set to open 30points higher today after U.S. higher Friday.

US sharemarkets rebounded on Friday on reports that Deutsche Bank could secure a lower settlement with US authorities on a legal dispute. The Dow Jones index rose by 165 points or 0.9% with the S&P 500 index up by 0.8% while the Nasdaq rose by 43 points or 0.8%. Over the week the Dow rose by 0.3% with the S&P 500 up 0.2% and the Nasdaq rose 0.1%.
