Mid-Session 23 Apr 19: ASX 200 advances led by energy names as oil prices jump

The ASX 200 has commenced a holiday shortened week with solid gains at lunch on Tuesday, ahead by 0.7%, led by energy names. Oil prices rose by more than 2% overnight in response to the prospect of more stringent sanctions being applied by the US against Iran.
