AM Report 30 Apr 18: mixed close, Korean news and central banks in focus

US sharemarkets ended mixed on Friday. After earnings results shares in Amazon rose by 3.6%, Microsoft rose by 1.7% but Exxon Mobil fell by 3.8%. After trading in a 165 point range, the Dow Jones ended lower by 11 points or 0.1%. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.1%, while the Nasdaq rose by 1.1 points or less than 0.1%. Over the week the Dow fell by 0.6%, the S&P 500 was flat and the Nasdaq fell by 0.4%.
