The CommSec Market Update 15 Feb 23: Volatile reaction by financial markets to latest US inflation data

With 45 minutes to go the Dow Jones is lower by around 80 points or 0.2% after tracking a 504 point range. The broader S&P 500 is up 0.2%. And the Nasdaq is up 60 points or 0.5%. The Aussie share price futures index (SPI) is signalling +7 points or 0.1% at the start of trade. The Aussie dollar is near US69.90c. In Australia, the focus shifts to key earnings results and the testimony to the Senate Budget Estimates by the Reserve Bank Governor.
