Market Close 14 Jan 19: Weaker Chinese trade data weighs on local shares

The ASX 200 has failed to hang on to earlier gains, easing by 1 point to 5773 points following weaker than expected Chinese trade data for December. Resource stocks and Wesfarmers weighed most while financials helped restrict losses.
