"Salt and Light"  

Jesus reminds us that we are salt and light; that is, as disciples we are called to make a difference. Like salt, we can't be effective if we lose our "flavor;" like light, it does no good ijn alleviating darkness if it is hidden away. Our faith can't be insular. It must reach out. One way we are challenged to respond to this message is by participating in the Archbishop's Annual Appeal which provides funding which fuels critical initiatives in evangelization, education, and community outreach to the poor and needy.
