In this episode Bex explores pedagogy with Dr Susan Outlaw, Executive Director at Metro Deaf School in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. Metro Deaf School serves over 140 Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing students in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul Metro area. The school is an ASL/English bilingual setting serving infants to young adults 21 years old. Dr Susan Outlaw works with amazing children, staff, and families.
Dr Susan Outlaw participates in research, leads workshops, and provides national and international presentations on the topics of child-centred education, the importance of play in education, language and literacy development, and ASL/English bilingualism.
