Father, We praise You for Your generous heart. You seek out opportunities to bless us even when we don’t ask for it and even though we never deserve it! You are so kind! Have mercy on me, a sinner. We repent of our sins and turn to You and we ask You to make our hearts clean. Unlike Solomon, our requests haven’t always been filled with humility. We repent of ever wanting revenge more than we want peace and repentance. We repent of asking for things that we think are more valuable than wisdom while neglecting that ...

Father,

We praise You for Your generous heart. You seek out opportunities to bless us even when we don’t ask for it and even though we never deserve it! You are so kind!

Have mercy on me, a sinner. We repent of our sins and turn to You and we ask You to make our hearts clean. Unlike Solomon, our requests haven’t always been filled with humility. We repent of ever wanting revenge more than we want peace and repentance. We repent of asking for things that we think are more valuable than wisdom while neglecting that request altogether.

Wisdom begins with viewing You rightly, so would You help us to do that? We don’t want to lose sight of our need for Your wisdom. And would You humble us by reminding us that all good things come from Your hand?

Give us the wisdom we need to surrender our lives to You, Lord—every moment of our day, each decision we make, give us wisdom to yield our will and way to Your perfect will and way.

We love You too. Amen.
