S&P Futures are display some weakness this morning in the premarket. The focus this morning will be on employment data. Both the ADP employment report and Jobless Claims data will be released before the opening bell. Fed meeting minutes are due out this afternoon. Quantum stocks are falling after NVDA CEO commented that he does not expect the technology to be in widespread use for decades. XOM has indicated that 4Q earnings will be negatively impacted by weakening oil prices, higher natural gas prices will partially offset the oil price weakness. Maplebear (CART) to be added to the S&P 400 on 1-14. China moved to silence an economist who questioned the countries growth data figures.
