Wake Up TriCounties Kewanee Mayor Gary Moore

Kewanee Mayor Gary Moore was our guest on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021. Mayor Moore joined WKEI to wrap up Monday's Kewanee City Council Meeting which will be the last Kewanee City Council Meeting of 2021. The Mayor discussed bond issues which were mostly house cleaning for the City in preparation for the start of Budget talks. The Mayor also discussed the City of Kewanee plan for applying for grants for the downtown Kewanee area with the goal of cleaning up and strengthening infrastructure and beautification with the goal of attracting businesses to the area. Finally, the Mayor discussed demolitions of buildings in the City of Kewanee and how they are proceeding quickly to take down potentially dangerous or blighted buildings.
