The leaders of the political groups in the European Parliament will meet this morning (10:00am CET) to discuss the outcome of the EU-UK Brexit trade deal.
The deal will need to be approved by both the European Parliament and the EU’s twenty seven (27) member countries.
Green Party MEP Grace O’Sullivan says MEPs must be given enough time to scrutinise the trade agreement before voting on it.
The Parliament had originally hoped to vote on the deal before the end of this year. But it wasn’t brokered in time for that to happen.
Now they’ll have to vote on it early next year instead.
Here’s Grace O’Sullivan.
