Teaching creative writing without basics and fundamentals is like giving a child a musical instrument and telling them these are the different notes on this instrument keep playing for the next 10 years and let's see what comes of it, which is our current system of literary writing.
Homeschooling is so much more accessible than in the past, because of the onset of co-ops, micro-schools, Facebook groups and the variety of educational material that offer new families joining the homeschool community an solid association; of similar beliefs and values.
Academia is the least important thing in our growth and development as children it is at best 2nd. We need to do a lot of things together with our family and friends and build those relationships. At the end of our life we will not be taking with us all of the accolades and knowledge we have obtained in academia but the connections, relationships and memories we built within the years of our life.
