Relay For Life Update, April 4th

Relay For Life of The Sauk Valley is planned for Saturday, June 3rd, at Westwood Building 3 in Sterling which will officially start at 6 p.m. until around 9 p.m.. During that time there will be : Opening lap for all survivors to be celebrated; theme laps to keep team members involved – each team is to have at least one person on the track at all times; games and activities during that duration; teams may bring in food and beverages – non-alcoholic, of course; a Luminaria ceremony in which names of recipients of a luminaria are announced in a candlelight ceremony

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society fundraising signature event to celebrate those who have survived, remember those who have lost their battle, and Fight Back with advocacy and education to eliminate cancer from our lives!

Regardless of what Relay For Life event you attend these components are always a part of each Relay as the event is based on a celebration of survivorship, a Remembrance of those lost to cancer, and a means of Fighting Back and educating ourselves to lead a healthy life style to prevent cancer from attacking our bodies.
