Luke 13:10-17

The people don’t get it, because they are blind … blind to what Jesus came to do … blind to the spiritual realm. Jesus came to release us from the evil powers of the spiritual realm.

Jesus heals a woman who has for 18 years been oppressed by Satan with this bent over condition.

Jesus brings out the reason for the Sabbath.  It’s a day for doing good,  for saving life. The sabbath is a pointer to an ultimate sabbath rest with God.

This episode in Luke thirteen is an illustration of Jesus’ authority over the spiritual realm.  It points to his work on the cross.  Jesus has come to set his people free.
