Mid-Session 25 Aug 20: ASX rises to new highs on bank gains

The Aussie market is lifting on Tuesday with the ASX 200 boosted by a solid lead from US markets and a rally for the big four banks. Afterpay (APT) also hit a new all-time high as investors continue to react to its proposed expansion into Europe but health, mining consumer staples are a drag.
