On this week’s episode, Giles Alderson and co-host Dom Lenoir welcome writer & director Navot Papushado to speak about his latest feature film Gunpowder Milkshake (2021), starring Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, and many, many more. What an incredible cast!
Navot dives deep into the making of Gunpowder Milkshake, how he got these fantastic names attached, what it was like to work with them, and the importance of an easy-to-read script.
He also talks about his first two features Kalevet (2011), which got into over a hundred film festivals, and Big Bad Wolves (2013), as well as about his influences, his writing routine, and why you should try to see a movie a day.
It was very inspiring to chat with Navot. It’s an absolute masterclass in indie filmmaking. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s episode with Navot Papushado.
