This week on Beale Street Caravan we have The Knights of Jazz. The band is led by trumpeter Paul McKinney, whose smooth jazz style is inspired by the likes of George Duke, Miles Davis and Memphis’ own Kirk Whalum. When not leading the band, Paul serves as Instrumental Music Director and Jazz Studies Coordinator at the Stax Music Academy here in Memphis, helping to guide students on their own musical journeys.
Grammy nominated blues man, Guy Davis, will be with us to deliver an installment of the Blues Hall of Fame, an exploration of the lives of the pioneers and innovators enshrined in the Blues Hall of Fame, here in Memphis, TN, brought to you by the Blues Foundation.
