How do we maintain hope in Allah?

What did Imam Abu Hanifa (ra) say regarding this ayah?

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ‘

Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for the disbelievers.‘ [Ali Imran 3:131]
