Mid-Session 24 Dec 18: Local shares erasing earlier losses in shortened session

The ASX 200 is clawing back earlier losses with the ASX 200 little changed at 5,466 around lunchtime on a shortened trading session ahead of the Christmas & Boxing Day public holidays. The index was down 1% early on following heavy selling in the US.
