Peace on Earth – Day 13: Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Triumph of Life

On this thirteenth day of Peace on Earth, Father Jonathan reflects on Our Lady of Guadalupe and the profound impact of her appearance to St. Juan Diego in 1531.

Mary came as a loving mother to a wounded culture, bringing dignity to women, protecting the unborn, and leading millions to Jesus Christ. Her image — miraculously imprinted on Juan Diego’s tilma — remains a powerful sign that God enters human history to defend life and restore hope.

Today’s reflection invites us to pause and pray with gratitude:
“Dear Lord, thank You for life.”

As we honor Our Lady of Guadalupe, may we ask her to intercede for our families, our communities, and our world — that peace may begin in every heart.
