Morning Report 8 Sep 21: US and European stocks bested by sellers as interest rate move higher

US and European stocks generally trended lower over the course of the session overnight as investors considered the prospect of moderating growth as long term interest rates edged higher. The Dow Jones index fell by 269 points or 0.8%. The S&P 500 index lost 0.3%. But the Nasdaq index rose by 11 points or 0.1% to a record high.
