Mid-Session 8 May 20: Aussie market lifts as Macquarie jumps on profit result

Local shares are firming so far on Friday with the ASX 200 higher at lunch, as it looks to snap two consecutive days of losses. Gains have been rather broad based with only the healthcare sector trading lower after the first few hours of trade.
