US Close 17 Apr 19: Stocks remain near 6-month highs

The US sharemarket edged higher on light trade. Apple & chipmaker Qualcomm dropped a number of lawsuits against each other while a number of companies posted quarterly results including Netflix, IBM and Bank of America.
