A major EU-wide initiative to engage European citizens on shaping Europe’s future kicks off tomorrow (Sunday May 9th). The Conference on the Future of Europe will be officially launched at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. It’s a collaborative effort involving the European Commission, Parliament and Council.
The Conference will last for a year. And its aim is to harvest as many ideas as possible from people young and old across the EU on what kind of Europe they want to live in in the future.
Fine Gael MEP Frances Fitzgerald explains.
