Jim Gailloretto: Feature Interview June 2019

Saxophonist Jim Gailloretto sits down for an in-depth interview with Chicago Jazz Magazine founder Mike Jeffers for the June 2019 feature interview for Chicago Jazz Magazine.

Jim discusses his new project, the Metropolitan Jazz Octet and the new recording they are releasing on Delmark Records in late summer featuring vocalist Dee Alexander. Jim also talks about the process he goes through when he starts a new composing project and how he works and thinks along the way.

He also discusses coming up on the jazz scene, studying with Joe Daley and working through the studio scene in Chicago.
