In this episode, we are speaking with René Meijer, CEO of Food Works Sheffield, a social enterprise that aspires to create a more sustainable and fair food system. Food Works prevents up to a tonne of surplus food from going to waste every single day, working with a small team of staff who support around 200 volunteers. 

René joined Food Works when it was founded in 2015 as ‘The Real Junk Food Project Sheffield’ and became its current CEO in 2019.
