Market Close 12 Oct 21: Aussie market slides for second day

The Australian sharemarket fell for a second day in choppy trade, with the ASX 200 down by 0.26%. While nine of 11 sectors lost ground, shares of Alumina (AWC) rose by 4.2% after the aluminium price hit a 2008 high, while CSL gained 1.8% after it flagged improved plasma collections at its AGM.
