Market Close 17 Nov 21: ASX 200 slumps as CBA leads bank declines

The Australian sharemarket lost ground for a second straight day despite a positive lead from Wall St overnight. The benchmark ASX 200 index closed 50.5 pts or 0.68 per cent lower at 7369.9. Nine out of eleven sectors finished in positive territory but heavy losses from banks were the main weight dragging the market lower.
