Mid-Session 7 Jul 2021: ASX rises despite NSW’s extended lockdowns

Aussie shares are rising at lunch on Wednesday despite the confirmation of the lockdown for parts of NSW. Leading improvements are IT, communications and healthcare while travel stocks are generally lower and energy stocks fall on a rollercoaster ride for oil prices.
