Luis Gutierrez Interview Part II: On la Alianza, Vieques and Ricky Renuncia

In the 2nd part of Luis Gutierrez's interview, he talks to Diaspórica about a historical thread in Puerto Rico's political landscape starting with the fight for liberation of Oscar Lopez Rivera, the end of the bombing of Vieques by the US Marine, the resignation of Ricky Rosselló and la Alianza. The first 3 events have been victories for the pro independence movement. The pro independence movement has led the efforts and different sections of Puerto Rican society have followed and joined these struggles. Now, we have la Alianza where two political movements join efforts to challenge the two main parties that have alternated power with the sole purpose of guaranteeing US colonial interests over the interests of the Puerto Rican people.
